A Christmas gift that was delivered last year....will be ours this year!

Little Qing Xiao Dan was born around December 20, 2009. For one reason or another her mommy could not keep her. But she loved her enough to take her to the local orphanage in the wee hours of the morning on a cold day last Christmas Eve to be found by someone that morning. I looked it up. It was 17 degrees that morning. Little Xiao Dan was bundled up in a blanket waiting on someone to find her. Waiting...

And someone did come that morning. They report that she was gloomy and undernourished. Having been born with a cleft lip and a cleft palate, perhaps her momma knew that she would not be able to give her the surgeries she would need. Just a few days old, but God must've kept her alive because she was waiting for me in June when I went to China to find her!

I'm so grateful that her momma took her to that orphanage instead of aborting her or throwing her away. That she cared enough about her to give her a chance to live. And now, God has given her to us! We will spend the rest of our lives caring for her, loving her, and giving her every opportunity to fulfill God's plan for her sweet precious life.

There are many more at that same orphanage. Like Mei who I fell in love with! I found out this week that she has a family now preparing to go get her! And little Peter who got a family too! Adoption is beautiful. Giving someone a chance to not only survive, but thrive in this lifetime! Maybe God has a special little Peter or Mei for you and your family?
